Exploring
New York City
After a busy day learning about ePortfolio and assessment,
reflecting, and making connections, you may want to switch gears into
leisure mode. Fortunately for you, NYC offers its fair share of
things to see and do, to eat and imbibe. Whether you're partial
to dining at a fine restaurant or seeking out the elusive “best burger
in the city,” browsing an art gallery or dancing late into the
night, catching a foot-tapping jazz set or a raucous rock show, New
York boasts more to do on any given night than we can possibly list
here. However, several city-themed publications can help to take
the guesswork out of planning your free time in the Big City:

Our go-to source for getting out, Time Out New York graciously donated their
insider’s guide to everything New York, including restaurants,
nightlife, live music, and theater. On their website, be sure to utilize their
helpful “today’s events” search..
The L Magazine: Event listings in
theater, art, dance, live music, nightlife, and comedy.

New
York Magazine: Restaurant, bars, and entertainment listings,
including their “Best of New York”
section.
But I’ve only got a few days in the city…
Guidebooks and events listings are nice, but the sheer volume of choices can feel overwhelming. Don’t despair; for a short list of LaGuardians' most essential New York activities for visitors, click here.
